As traders, we can sometimes spend so much time looking for the latest technical analysis indicator that we forget to have a good look at the past history of the market we are trading.
It was the 20th Anniversary of the 1987 stock market crash last month, and the last two to three weeks have been quite fretish.

I’m still a bear in the US. In an article I wrote some weeks back I mentioned that the US bond market was pointing to about a 50/50 chance of recession next year in the US.

From the low created in the beginning of 2005, Cotton (CT-SpotV) could not break through the resistance met at around 58 cents.
The last two weeks have been interesting in our local markets to say the least. Since the August 2007 lows around 60% of our ASX Sectors have managed to recover to a reasonable level.
Over the past month there have been many great shorting opportunities for students that follow the Safety in the Market trading system.
