A diversified approach is important in any investment strategy. There are varying levels of diversity from Macro to Micro levels. It is commonly accepted that using a combination of property, stocks and cash is a sound diversification strategy on a macro level.

With all the media hype in our faces on a daily basis it’s close to impossible to completely shut off the radar to outside influences.

The rally has begun but getting too excited too early can lead to damaging results.

The run up on the SPI200 had been quite strong since the low in mid March, until the May 19 top (6004).

Well it has certainly been a big few months in the stock market since the tops of late 2007.

To say it’s been a big week in terms of market movements is an understatement.
