What an exciting Gann Jump Start we have had in Sydney this week! The seasonal date fell during workshop so we were watching for a turn on the market and the market duly delivered.
This month I’m going to take a break from the markets and look at upset and uncertainty caused by the failure of MF Global. Like many of you, I had funds with MF Global and last Friday I attended the Meeting of Creditors in Sydney.
What was the SEC thinking leading up to July 6th 2007? That is the day when the uptick rule - a rule in place since 1934 to help keep markets orderly

Due to the interest (and thanks for all the feedback to tradingtutors.com) in my previous ‘Occupy Wall Street’ articles, I thought I would delve into one of the major catalysts of the Global Financial Crisis and one of the companies at the epicentre, American International Group (AIG).
When I look at the Sensex (Bombay Stock Exchange), I see very few investors. It’s as if India has turned its back on the market and gone to watch the cricket, which they should enjoy as it’s doubtful the West Indies can match it with the Indians.
