2004 - Off to a Flying Start?

Sitting down to start the contributions to the Trading Tutors Newsletter for 2004, two things come to mind. The strong bullish movement we have seen since March 2003 has continued, though in more recent times a more sideways pattern has started to form. The second is looking back at the last article I wrote last year on the Dow Jones, my analysis at that point was making me think a pause in the rally might be order. The retracement never came and the Dow with most of the major world markets continued to move strongly over the Christmas and New Year period.

The so called NAB rogue traders were betting the Aussie would fall back in October 2003 when it was trading at about 70c. I can understand some people having a very different view to the market at any one time.
