I’m still a bear in the US. In an article I wrote some weeks back I mentioned that the US bond market was pointing to about a 50/50 chance of recession next year in the US.

If you’d asked about the market this time last year, the consensus would have been “bullish”.

Thank you for your many emails. As anticipated your comments had two things in common. Firstly you all had strong views – in a frightening sort of way.

I am revisiting the question “is it too late to enter the market?”, as there are so many investors constantly asking this question. They look at the juicy profits achieved over the last few months and ask is there room for more. I believe the short answer is yes but that does not mean you go out and splurge tomorrow.
