The most important question on the lips of traders and investors across the globe is, quite simply, “When will we see an end to the turmoil?”.
Seeing John Bollinger speak a few years ago at the Oasis conference in Santa Clara, USA was a great experience for me personally – his Bollinger Bands indicator is one of my favourite technical tools.
Only a few days ago Bear Stearns said all was OK.

To the new currency trader, it would appear that the entire world of foreign exchange revolves around the US Dollar.
I would like to take the words from that beautiful song by Peter Sarstedt in 1969. Yes, I constantly date myself but I’ll leave the lyrics for another column!

There has been a lot of talk about the high prices of gold and oil in recent times, but most of the major currencies are also trading at or near record levels.
