“The market does what it does to fool the majority of people the majority of the time”. No doubt this quote or concept will be familiar to many of our readers. While there will be plenty of market participants that have a clear view (right or wrong) as to where the markets as a whole are heading, some may have a foot in both the bull and bear camps currently.
I noted increased jitters from the middle of last week – the mood changed – the press finding glitches in the armour of this market. I noted the same about September last year with headlines such as “Markets cannot climb further”.

Back in late 2003 I wrote about the potential for an explosive run in Sugar based on 30 Year cycles. Let me say right up front that the Sugar market did not take off in late 2003 as I anticipated it might.
A great deal of focus has been placed recently on the equities market. However, somewhat silently the Bonds markets in Australia have presented opportunity. For the average investor the thought of trading bonds is one that may seem a little out of their reach.
