A strong bounce in commodities overnight saw energies and metals drive higher. That being said we saw the biotech space cause late selling in US markets.
 
Overall indexes were lower, expect some strength in the energy sector but we could see some overall weakness in local markets this morning.

A poor finish to a week that really asked more questions than were answered, given the FOMC reluctance to raise rates. The commodities sector was generally weaker, the only shining light was the jump in sugar and coffee prices.

A general uplift on all markets last night will great the local ASX today. US, European and Asian sessions were generally higher ahead of the FOMC announcement. Of positive note was that commodities were also higher in particular energy and metal prices.

A relatively flat session greets the local market today, most indexes were slightly weaker with global markets waiting the US Fed announcement this week, China announced reduced investment and output numbers this week with the focus still on how their growth trajectory can be maintained.
 
Commodities were mixed with energy and precious metals lower.
